Check Yourself encourages students to pause, reflect, and evaluate their understanding as they read. Through guided self-assessment and critical thinking prompts, learners build awareness, strengthen comprehension, and develop the confidence to monitor their own progress independently.
This course introduces students to deep reading through selected works by Roald Dahl, helping them develop comprehension, vocabulary, and analytical thinking. Paired with Writing Quest 2, learners strengthen their ability to organize ideas, write with purpose, and respond thoughtfully to texts through engaging and structured writing activities.
Building on advanced reading skills, this course guides students through deeper analysis of Roald Dahl’s texts while strengthening interpretation and critical thinking. The Writer’s Workshop component helps learners refine their writing voice, structure their ideas effectively, and produce thoughtful, well-developed responses inspired by what they read.
